The Site of the Day: Bikes4Vets.org
This report filed March 30, 2007
Reader Stephen O'Dell sent us a note this morning, reminding us of the
work of an organization of cyclists - who are also veterans, reservists
or active-duty personnel - dedicated to raising "awareness and funding
for disabled veterans and the families of military members killed in action.
This will be accomplished by means of a long-distance cycling tour from
Saint Augustine, Florida to San Diego, California. Along the route, we
will maximize opportunities to broadcast local interest stories about injured
veterans, military families, and personnel who have received awards in
combat."
No matter what your position on this war, we're sure you'll agree that www.Bikes4Vets.org
deserves to be our VeloNews.com site of the day.
