Wisconsin News- A Boyceville woman and former postal worker was sentenced Nov. 24 to one year probation for destroying mail.
BOYCEVILLE - A Boyceville woman was sentenced Nov. 24 to one year probation for destroying mail.
Veronica Minor, 45, pleaded guilty to the charge on Sept. 23.
In January 2009, while Minor was an employee of the U.S. Postal Service at the Baldwin Post Office, she allegedly opened mail and took items from it, including a gift card she used at Walmart.
The charges against Minor were the result of an investigation conducted by the U.S. Postal Service, Office of the Inspector General. The prosecution of the case has been handled by Assistant U.S. Attorney Elizabeth Altman.
