October 10, 2008 Education Golf Tournament	The 19th Annual Education Golf Tournament will take place on Friday, October 10, 2007 at the Bear Trail Golf Course, shot gun start at 12:00 noon.  This tournament is held every year to raise money for continued educational training for Onslow County educators and students.  If you are interested in sponsoring a team or hole, please contact Joan Nary at 910-347-3141. November 22, 2008 53rd Annual Holiday Parade	The Jacksonville Holiday Parade (the biggest one in the area) is an annual tradition in the community to kick off the holiday season.  It is an event where parents mark their calendars to be sure to get their children up early to find a good spot along the route.   Be part of the Jacksonville history as we celebrate the 2008 Holiday Parade "All American Holiday."  Entries such as motor vehicles, marching units, amateur floats, school bands and professional floats will display their beauty and the Holiday spirit along the parade route. The parade will take place Saturday, November 22.  It will begin at 9:45 A.M. at Coastal Carolina Community College and continue down Western Boulevard to Brynn Marr Shopping Center.  Early registration discount ends Monday, October 20.  All final registrations must be received by the Chamber no later than close of business on Monday, November 3.  Prices vary per unit entry, forms are available below or from the Chamber offices.
