A Greenwood post office clerk has been charged with misappropriation of postal funds and faces up to 10 years in prison if found guilty.
Lea Ann Kyle, 51, Greenwood, is accused of taking nearly $20,000 in postal funds between January 2009 and August, according to a written release from the U.S. Attorney's office in Indianapolis.

Kyle worked at the Greenwood Post Office and was charged investigation by the U.S. Postal Service's Office of the Inspector General.
In addition to the prison term, Kyle faces a fine of up to $250,000 and three years of supervised release after serving any prison term if found guilty, according to Assistant U.S. Attorney A. Brant Cook, who is prosecuting the case.
An initial hearing for Kyle will be scheduled before a U.S. magistrate judge.
